Love the idea of dressing up your hair but don’t have HOURS to spend doing so? Delaney gets it. She sees no reason why a hairstyle can’t be both cute AND quick. Today, she’s coming in clutch with not one, but TWO adorable styles that are perfect for almost any outfit and occasion while also requiring only minimal tools, products, and most importantly, time.

“I love these hairstyles because they’re super quick and easy and give any outfit a boost!”

A literal dream. Ready to dive in? The how-to video includes both styles, and the written instructions for each (plus Delaney’s favorite moments for them to shine) are below that.

Style #1:
Perfect for: Going to work or out to dinner. I really like it because it keeps your hair controlled and out of your face but can add some fun depending on what kind of clips you want to use.

Materials Needed:
-Two small claw clips
-KEVIN.MURPHY’s SHIMMER.SHINE
-KEVIN.MURPHY’s BEDROOM.HAIR
-Curling iron or wand (optional)

  1. Spritz dry hair all over with SHIMMER.SHINE.
  2. Part hair in desired location. We’re using a center part, but it’s up to you!
  3. Gather the section of hair between your ear and part on one side of your head.
  4. Twist the lock towards your part and secure it with one of the claw clips.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 on the other side of your head.
  6. If desired, use your curling tool to curl the ends of your hair.
  7. Finish with BEDROOM.HAIR.

Style #2:
Perfect for: A day out with friends or a bad hair day. Sometimes I’ll air-dry my hair and not love how it’s looking—this is a great style to have it up and away but still cute and fun!

Materials Needed:
-One large claw clip (base size on thickness of hair)
-KEVIN.MURPHY’s SHIMMER.SHINE
-KEVIN.MURPHY’s BEDROOM.HAIR
-Curling iron or wand (optional)

  1. Spritz dry hair with SHIMMER.SHINE.
  2. Gather all of your hair at the back of your head towards the base (think of how you would create a low ponytail).
  3. Twist the ponytail part through its length.
  4. Bring it up against the back of your head (for longer hair, you can fold it over itself again to tuck in the ends, but it’s not required).
  5. Secure with large claw clip.
  6. If desired, pull out a few pieces at the front to frame your face. You can also curl these pieces for a little more interest!
  7. Finish with BEDROOM.HAIR.

You see what we mean? Super easy, super quick, super cute. Thanks, Delaney. What a hero.
