We’re inching our way into the wonder and possibility of a new year, so OBVIOUSLY we have to know what’s on the hair-trend horizon. Our stylists are weighing in on what they think the next big thing is going to be.
Karina:
Shaggy bixies: A mix between a bob and a pixie. Some have the nape shorter than the hair length around the face, and some have the reverse—shorter in front and longer in back. There may be many varieties, however, the shaggy, piecey movement is showing strong across the board.
Italian bobs: A heavier-styled bob hovering above the shoulder or up to the jawline, with long layers and a voluminous side bang. I believe we will start seeing a trend of side parts coming back.
Rich burgundy: A lot of us love to embrace the moody fall and winter seasons, and a rich burgundy or plum color is perfect for that, especially for people with olive and warmer skin tones.
May:
True bangs: I think true bangs are making a comeback. Fuller, straight-across bangs (lengths vary) versus shaggier/wispier bangs that have been popular the last few years!
Baby bangs: I am also seeing more baby bangs, or straight-across bangs that are cropped shorter to end higher on the forehead (up to a few inches above the eyebrows).
Dakota:
Sabrina Carpenter bangs/fringe: Longer curtain bangs with tons of face-framing layers.
Honey blonde hair color: Muted blonde with darker honey/softer blonde.
Teddy bear bronde: Mostly brown with softer highlights, lower maintenance grow-out.
