Lead Stylist Abigail Curry thinks hair and magic are synonymous. After all, nothing can bring such an immediate lift to the spirit or smile to the face more easily than a new cut and color. Don’t believe her? Just ask anyone walking out of our salon after spending an hour in her sparkly, bubbly company.

When queried about her inspiration behind becoming a stylist, Abigail doesn’t credit a reality TV hairdresser, home haircut aha! moment, or even a particularly vibrant dye (with which she experimented quite a lot in her youth). Nope, she cites dear old dad.

“When I turned 18, my dad asked me if I REALLY wanted to go to college,” Abigail says. “He suggested that I might be cut out for something more creative, like being a hairdresser to the stars. I was very excited by the idea of following a less traditional route.”

Today, Abigail is inspired by giving clients the tools to make themselves look as beautiful on the outside as they feel on the inside. Proper scalp care? She’s into it. Gray coverage? Oh, she has ideas. Balancing skin tone using the color wheel? THESE ARE IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW, PEOPLE.

And Abigail knows them all.

Sure, she’s tired at the end of the day. Her much-beloved, technical approach to problem solving takes its toll. Growing a business is hard, plain and simple. When times get tough, though, Abigail turns to her patron saint of awesomeness, the goddess Athena, explaining that her “primary attribution is intelligence applied to human benefit, wisdom, philosophy, and inspiration.” Plus, “She is strategic, modest, strong and creative.”

Words we would definitely use to describe our Abigail.

When she’s not helping her clients rock their outer beauty, she likes to read non-fiction, play pool, fine-tune her budget (fun!), hike, bike and snuggle her cats.
